Chess Academy gives you quick access to the games through automatically generated indices on players, sources, ECO indices, years, number of moves or the game’s result. The program sorts the games in an active list according to the following criteria:
Number – sorts by the original game’s index number in a database
White – sorts alphabetically by player for White
Black – sorts alphabetically by player for Black
Source – sorts alphabetically by source of game
Year – sorts by year
ECO – sorts by the ECO codes (a total of 500 codes are available)
Moves – sorts by the total number of moves in the game
After sorting by years games list will be re-sorted and all games will be displayed in increasing order from a minimum value of year to a maximum value of year.
This is done by clicking Sort > Year from the List menu or by clicking the button Year at the top of the games list.
Alternatively: use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+6
After sorting by number of moves games list will be re-sorted and all games will be displayed in increasing order from a minimum value of moves to a maximum value.
This is done by clicking Sort > Number of moves from the List menu or by clicking the button Moves at the top of the games list.
Alternatively: use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+7
