The implementation of the Goliath Blitz Engine, which thinks at lightning speed and plays and analyzes at the highest world champion level, is impressive. Michael Borgstädt’s Goliath engine is one of the fastest tacticians and proved this impressively by winning the 2001 World Computer Blitz Chess Championship in Maastricht (The Netherlands).

Goliath was also runner-up in the 2002 World Blitz Championship in Maastricht. Goliath prevailed against strong competition on a standard PC. The engine has been further improved since the World Championship and in the current version achieves top speeds of over 2.5 million positions examined per second (on a 1200 MHz PC).

A tournament-proven opening book with approx. 520,000 positions is included with the product. An interactive and comprehensive training program is also included with the product.
