Chess Academy enables you to output your tutorial examples, games, or keys on paper, using different print options mentioned below.

Print command presents a Print dialog box, where you may specify the range of pages to be printed, the number of copies, the destination printer, and other printer setup options.

Chess Academy print settings support both Chess Academy and Chess Informant symbol systems, different chess notations, such as figurine notation, and many languages. For example, you can specify what characters you want to denote the chess pieces with. You can use the international chess figurine characters here because they can be printed by most printers.

For example, you can assign the abbreviations for individual figures yourself. You can also use the international figurine chess symbols, which are also reproduced correctly by virtually all printers.

If you just want to print a single game, load the game that you want to print first. You can replay it on the board and start the printing procedure from any move you want by clicking the toolbar button butto printing, or selecting the Print command from the File main menu.

The program prints the game which is currently displayed in the active board window. All moves are presented, including the alternative lines, text, and symbolic commentaries. The current position on the board will be printed as a diagram unless the initial game’s position is the current one. Comments will be printed after the move and are therefore suitable for judgments of the position. Also, all special characters you entered for any move will be printed here.

If you want to print a series of games, you have to select from the list all the games you want to print and choose the Print command from the File main menu or click the Toolbar button butto printing.

You can also print out by simple way the opening repertoire after merging the games and creating a tree of variants. Choose the Print command from the File menu, or click the toolbar button butto printing, or click the Print button in the “Tree Manager” window. All games corresponding to the current level will be moved to the print layout, which will have the shape of a tree.

Chess Academy allows you to print the selected opening keys and opening key positions. After selecting the keys you want to print, you can create a temporary keys list and print it by choosing Print from the File menu or clicking the toolbar button butto printing.

You can print out any tutorial example or a set of examples from the window with the list of tutorial examples. To start printing choose the Print command from the File main menu, or click the toolbar button butto printing.
